The Stars of the Sale!

Although the new season is being delivered right, left and centre, always ones to help out fashion enthusiasts such as yourselves, we thought we would bring you a little taste of a few of the brilliant bargains still to be had in our super duper sale!

First up, and it’s unanimous amongst us girls as a steal of the sale, the striking black and sequined Herve Leger. Available now only in size medium, reduced from £1300 to £390, this show stopper is an absolute steal at the price. Admittedly it’s not something you’re going to wear day in and out, but for any number of events this gorgeous number is sure to turn heads! Keeping on the dress theme, there are some beautiful Collette Dinnigan evening gowns – particularly the stunning cream 1920’s style backless diamante halterneck, now only £389, and the ornate white lace gown, reduced from £2635 to £789: absolutely ideal for a ball or black tie event, but also just perfect for a bride looking for understated glamour – if it wasn’t so Muriel’s wedding, I definitely would!!

Aside from the dresses, there are some brilliant buys to be had amongst the cashmere and knitwear. The inimitable Clements Ribeiro frogging cardigans in black and black and white stripe are now down to £279 and £285, and for the fashion savvy make a bargain investment. The Clements Spring-Summer collection was the toast of the shop when it was delivered in Spring and it’s taking all the self restraint we’ve got from one of us girls snapping them up... In case you didn’t already guess, we love! Our other British favourites, Queene and Belle, still have some beautiful pieces for a snip of the price too. The funky Clarice vests in grey and navy are now only £125 whilst my absolute favourite the Scapa shrug is now down to £125 from £405.

We definitely recommend you pop in and see us- come and snap up these steals while you still can. And luckily for you we are open every Sunday in August... because we’re nice like that!

Love,

Erdem, Red Valentino, Moncler …. the ones to watch

With daily deliveries of New Season, we are looking forward to the trends we will all be wearing next season...

Fashion bible Vogue has dictated the trends to look out for and we tell you the Edinburgh-friendly (note: pencil stilettos and cobbles just don’t go, talking from experience!) way to wear them.

As Claudia noted, she’s in Marrakesh this week lucky devil, Clements Ribeiro were big on the prints this season with the vintage scarf dresses. And the look of floral induced liberty-based prints continues with ERDEM, our new favourite down Thistle Street way.

With everyone from Keira Knightley to Samantha Cameron as fans, ERDEM is one to watch – with gorgeous graphic prints over classic dresses they are the ONLY way to wear dresses this season. With the floor length Maxi to the cute classic shift – there is a perfect ERDEM dress to suit every shape. Vogue suggest wear them with skinny waist cinching belts and oversized portfolio clutch bags- we agree.

You could channel your inner Audrey and wear them with patent pumps for that chic elegant 50’s look. The key to ERDEM? Keep the accessories simple and let the print do the talking. What we love even more? Is THE dress we want, love and are ‘counting down the days till its arrival’ is on the front of this A/W Vogue Catwalk report. Us JD girls, we know our stuff!

Another Jane Davidson favourite is coming to town – Moncler, with deliveries from August onwards our favourite padded coats are coming in all shapes and forms from a Chanel(ey) style quilted coat to the classic Moncler Puffa. Expect to be seeing them all round town if last winter was anything to go by. The advantages of a Moncler – well the most stylish way to look warm and cosy this winter without tie dying your duvet and belting it round yourself, AND they’re completely machine washable a win-win situation right!?

Although – if you want to look totally stylish and unbelievably glam this winter – the only thing to be seen out and about in is the Dom and Ruby aviator Jacket. Classic style with vintage trimmings and all over chic – we all want one. And the fantastic quality of D&R enough to make any Fashionista drool over their jackets, as I did for a large part of last winter over a fantastic Dom & Ruby sheepskin Gilet…..

Anyway, time to stop dreaming about future deliveries and start doing some real work today!

Love,

The Girls x
