There's something about Rosie...

There's something about Rosie Sugden. Even though we were halfway through the winter season when she contacted me I just loved her quirky cashmere accessories.

A fabulous cashmere turban in black or grey, a cheeky fluro pink cashmere beanie and some elegant two tone cashmere gloves.

How could I say no?

This girl has her finger on the pulse fashion wise and is quite wisely starting small, not running before she can walk.

Rosie the girls at Jane Davidson are your biggest fans - we want every piece of your collection,

Available instore now and online very soon....

The Honours - have you been?

The Honours - it's definitely the hottest ticket in town for dinner. If you haven't been yet - go to it.

Tricky to get a weekend night (unless you like to eat at 6pm or 9pm!) so get booking for Christmas. You can book online.

The food is Martin Wishart amazing......less pretentious than Leith.

The decor is uber chic - thanks to the fabulous Ian Smith.

It's the place to be and be seen, in that little Erdem frock or maybe a cheeky piece of Dries.

You heard it here first

Drop five years- instantly...

I am loving this week's Grazia magazine - out today. Well worth £1. Some weeks I find are better than other but this week's issue is a cracker.

Byline reads - drop 5 years....by just ditching mascara!
What's your make up age?

Brilliant - why didn't I think of that? Down tools and drop years.
It's cruel to estimate Kate and Pippa's make up ages at 40 and 39, but sometimes the truth hurts. I for one am going to try binning the mascara and increasing the sleep factor.
Mmmmmm maybe easier said than done....

We want these sooooo much!

Maybe it's because the cold weather has arrived- or perhaps cause it's half term and we are down with the kids. We really really need a pair of these Dubarry boots.

So practical but also perfect with this season's heritage trend. Would be brilliant with a pair of skinny j Brands tucked in and a big Queene & Belle cashmere on top.
Paula from Jane Davidson lives in her Dubarrys all winter.

We don't sell them- just wanted to share my current objects of lust with you!

Victoria Beckham

We were thrilled to be invited to view Victoria's new label Victoria by Victoria Beckham and it totally lived up to our expectations.

Brilliantly stylish and wearable frocks at accessible price points. The girls want them all in their wardrobe now!

Thankfully you don't need the perfect body to pull them off either. Lengths are just on or slightly above the knee- no pelmets, and some of the best shapes even had sleeves.
We can't resist giving you a sneak preview, you may have already seen Mrs B wearing one or two of the shapes herself.

Contact the store to join our waiting list, deliveries start jan/ feb 2012

London Fashion Week

I'm back from my travels and the Louboutin's need re - healed. Here is my round up of the first leg of my buying trip, where I rubbed shoulders with the A-list, Anna Wintour, Sam Cam and wait for it... Pippa Middleton!

The Erdem show was truly beautiful. Fantastic florals fit for a garden party soiree. The Savoy was a very appropriate venue and the fashion pack loved it.

Next show was Pringle and I have to say it wasn't really for me. Having been a huge Clare Waight Keller fan (she left and went to Chloe) Alasdair Carr received rave reviews but I'm passing and will revisit for Autumn/Winter.

After Pringle I had a lengthy appointment with Diane von Furstenberg where i bought a selection of gorgeous dresses and separates for Summer 2012. This nude full length gown was a show stopper and as always Diane always picks the best for herself......

Coats to wrap up in this winter!

Masculine tux or relaxed fit coat - Your perfect cover up has landed!

Take a look at Jane Davidson’s key trends before you snap up the new star of your winter wardrobe.

Heritage

For the ultimate in heritage chic, think along the lines of rich tweed and bold houndstooth checks. Here at Jane Davidson we have some fabulous heritage-inspired collections from DVF to Pringle of Scotland. If you’re the kind of girl who wants heritage with a modern twist, then stake your claim on a Karl Donoghue tartan wax coat - This ideal overcoat combines the heritage trend without being too traditional in cut.

It’s a boy girl thing

There’s an androgynous undercurrent running through most trends right now - just look to MiH’s Tux Jacket or Gerard Darel’s tweed blazer, both borrowed from the boys. Absolutely this season’s sound investment! Take note - Make sure to wear with stunning accessories and fabulous shoes to give the guys a run for their money.

The Luxe Leather and Faux Furs

Fur-trimmed leather is our top pick this season, certain to keep you warm as well as looking chic and more than a tad sexy. With the weather turning from mild autumn to the chillier winter, there isn’t a better time to add a luxe parka to your outerwear arsenal. L’Agence khaki parka with faux-fur trim hood is the perfect option. For that full-on 70’s inspired look, opt for the ultimate leather trench by Oakwood – This belted gem of a coat is perfect for nipping in the waist for a femme winter look.

The Relaxed Shape

This casual shape for coats is loosely tailored, with softly rounded shoulders. The Relaxed cut is one of autumn’s hardest working styles, straddling both the masculine and ‘60s inspired trend to add a modern edge to your entire wardrobe. Stick your money on a bold colour for extra fashion cred. A winning contender is DVF’s Harrington Coat – This fabulous wool blend number combines the relaxed fit in a great turquoise-blue to achieve full marks for the Relaxed Shape category.
