Fabulous Fabulous Fashion

Fresh from my London trip I am still thinking about the beautifully ornate and other-worldly Roksanda Illincic show. Housed in numerous exquisite drawing rooms connected by one catwalk the show was a fast flash of bejewelled and fur flung beauties.

There was a decidedly Russian influence, which was mirrored in other designers this week, but in my opinion none as evocative as this. Deep burgundy and charcoal dresses were decorated in luxurious fur stoles and collars, whilst she sent out bright turquoise dresses with houndstooth sequins as a sharp contrast. Volume was also key in this collection and appeared in numerous guises including overcoats, sleeves and skirts. The embroidery was heavy and the drama was convincing but she still managed to supply the signature Roksanda evening gown show stoppers. Most noticeably the turquoise and navy silk gowns which thrilled in there movement on the runway. To top off each look was finished with bright canary yellow heels.

And as soon as it had started it was over; beautiful, enchanting, hard and very very fabulous!
