Autumn 2012 Beauty Showdown

While it’s not yet possible to get the iconic fashion items of the Autumn/Winter 12 collections, we can start preparing our skin not only for the colder conditions but for the key ‘look’s of the beauty world for this season.

We’ll show you what we’re loving (and hating) for the season to come.

Straight off the catwalk at Chanel is the bejazzled eyebrow. Sequins, studs, paint – whatever - it’s not a trend we’ll be rocking down thistle street. We’re still in love with big bushy browns as shown at the Marc Jacobs show ( we suggest HD Brows – perfect!)

The Morning after eye as seen at Marc Jacobs...usually patched up with a lick of Touche Eclat, is fast becoming a huge trend....we’re still unconvinced here! Apparently teaming it with luminous skin helps....I'll leave this one to the professionals.

The faux bob. We know what it’s like – you grow your hair for months on end and then finally decide actually you want a bob (or the pob a few seasons ago) As shown at Rodarte you can now recreate that look with some hairspray, backcombing and a few hair pins. Pob Perfection (we all love the matt nail shown here too!)

The red lip. Always a fashion staple, a good red lipstick will last as long as a pair of M Missoni trousers or a DVF wrap dress. Vibrant red lips were seen at Thakoon, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jonathan Saunders and Rick Owens. Personally I am a big, big fan of the vintage red lip. Definitely my favourite trend to come!!
