What a lovely idea…..assemble your own hotel room.
Just imagine it: you could totally pick and choose the design, colours and layout of your dream suite……….But that’s where the sweet dreams end. It’s actually just another clever idea from those people at IKEA, who have today announced that they are looking to roll out 100 budget hotels across Europe. And yes, Edinburgh is on the hit list!
But going back to my original misconception, I was having fun thinking about what my priorities would be a) Big comfy bed with crisp white sheets and towels b) Cleverly designed storage, with doors that actually close properly c) Cocktail cabinet and fridge (fully stocked) d) Stunning views (with sunshine) e) Butler to assemble all of the above.
Oh, and someone to remove all the left over nuts and bolts please! Sorted.
