Marni Madness!

I have to personally apologise for the delayed blog post - I've just got over the shock of this morning's events!

I was deployed by Sarah to snoop out the Marni at H&M this morning from my regular post on Thistle Street and it has made my week - the rush of the queuing, the fantastic prints and the quirky accessories.



I was very lucky to be in the third time group (die-hard Marni fan Mandy from JD was first in line!) and unfortunately anyone behind me didn't stand much chance. I got some fantastic earrings which I can't wait to wear, perspex bracelets (which I have to keep my eye on because I think Catherine at JD quite fancies them!), a classic silk printed dress and top. My favourite piece - has to be the cartoon printed tee - perfect with skinny jeans and a blazer.








What was my highlight - the earrings and bracelets - chunky perspex with a bit of added sparkle. What I wished there was more of - the necklaces and coats.



But all in all, reporting from the frontline of fashion I've come away unscathed and a couple of pennies less but with some fantastic new additions to my Spring/Summer wardrobe.

DVF for GAP

Is there anything Diane von Furstenberg touches that doesn’t turn to gold?

As fervent followers of all things DVF, the Jane Davidson girls are going gaga and goo goo over her latest designs for Gap Kids.



How cute are the baby wrap dresses, and the tiny rompers with signature kisses? And mini sunglasses for the coolest small dudes.





Launching in the UK March 28th, this is every future fashionista’s dream wardrobe.

The girls are loving Ombre Hair!

What could be better than a trend where you can just dye your hair once every 12 months!

It started with the Californian Girl in the just after the turn of the millennium. Think Jennifer Anniston post Rachel but pre Angelina, and is defined by the mid-tip length being dyed contrasting colours from the root.



Megan has just entered the trend with what she's classing as 'My Little Pony' hair - a mix of purple and lilac. Unfortunately, Megan is probably the 1% of population who could get away with this colour combo. But it looks amazing.

I've just entered into the trend but going for a slightly more traditional colour... I don't think the pink was for me and so far I'm loving it!

Paris Fashion Week

The girls at Jane Davidson are this morning enjoying La Duree french macaroons with their coffee this morning - fresh from Paris fashion week.

I spent a whirlwind weekend in Paris buying gorgeous brands such at Dries van Noten, Erdem and Victoria Beckham.


Those of you who follow me on twitter (@janedavidsonuk) will know that I bumped into P Diddy in Collette and am dreaming about the new Harper bag by Victoria Beckham.


So that is another buying season finished. Feeling totally inspired and counting the days till the stock arrives.

The Midi is Back

At last Spring has arrived and so has our fabulous M Missoni collection.The long awaited midi skirt is a must for your wardrobe in mouth watering shades of lime and raspberry mixed with black and hot pink- a winner I think !! I love M Missoni because there is always something for everyone and the pieces are timeless,you can wear them anywhere and feel amazing.

I had intended to write my blog first thing this morning, as soon as I arrived in the Boutique. However, it’s now after 4pm and Nikki, my manager has reminded me that I am running out of time- where has the day gone!

At lunchtime I managed to flip through Tatler, one of my favourite magazines, whilst eating my salad. I always feel inspired by the catwalk photos and fashion shots and my enthusiasm is revitalised each time I open a new magazine. One particular piece that stood out from this issue was a floor length Jenny Packham gown which is just exquisite! Take a peek inside and I’m sure you will be brimming with ideas for the forth coming season.

Beauty Update

It has been a few weeks now since I made my departure into the world of BB (Beauty Balm) cream. I must say that the results are very positive, it's so nice to use a product which for once delivers some of what it promises!

The Garnier cream that I have been using is a real joy to apply and gives a dewy glow rather than suffocating skin under a heavy base. At this time of year it 's exactly what I want- light, simple and effective. It also lasts all day and gives a little bit of colour....I really do think i'm smitten!!! In my opinion it is perfect for the hectic lifestyle that we all love to hate these days...

Far from being scientific, all I can give is my honest opinion, and honestly- I think it rocks!!!!
